Once I told my mother to name my brother Rocking-chair. She pondered it for a time. I was young, and the thought of having a brother named Rocking-chair, well, seemed fun.
Now, my mother was a wise woman, and despite my conjuring, she denied the request. Oh well. Who knew that the exchange would leave me with a fitting metaphor. . . Let us suppose that my mother did indeed name my younger brother rocking-chair. Despite what you may think, this would not have made my brother a piece of furniture. . .
Forgive me, perhaps you find this explanation insulting. And rightly so. However, there are those who need to hear it.
I watched a clip from The View today. I don’t usually entertain myself with Whoopi and her friends. However, when investigating the latest ideals of the extreme feminist, Whoopi delivers.
She was talking about the woman’s march, and all that. But, then she began discussing the march for life (and started playing the part of a confused stepchild, watching her newlywed parents quarrel) . . . I am paraphrasing, but she spouted off something to the tune of, “I am pro-life, we are all pro-life. . . We just don’t want the government controlling our bodies. Sometimes women have to make hard decisions, and that’s why we need abortion.”
Goldberg and her pals began discussing it. There was a catholic at the table, who gave a sub-par pro-life rebuttal, obviously not wanting to offend. (You can watch it using the link below)
There are several things worth pointing out here.
1) Because you say it, does not make it so: If I say that I’m a feminist, but that I think men are better than women, it begs the question: What’s your problem? If I say that I uphold equal rights, but that I wouldn’t hire a black man, it makes one question my sanity. Further, If say I am pro-life, yet support the world’s right to murder over 50,ooo,ooo unborn babies a year, many will begin chanting. . . Phony!Phony!Phony!
This fraudulent narrative boggles my mind. “I’m pro-life,” – for what? Grass? Egyptian cacti? Certainly not human beings.
Whoopi, your antics are not so clandestine. Your abortion supporting days are numbered, and you know it.
There will come a day – probably soon – when the word abortion, will be abhorred. When those who support it will be brought to justice. And when the precious person of the unborn is fully recognized. The time is coming, and Whoopi inc. (i.e The abortion rights supporters) know it. . .
With this knowledge, abortion supporters soften their narrative. Oh, no, I’m pro-life – see, I said so. What, no no, I think abortion is a bad thing. . . just necessary.
I do hope Whoopi is changing her ways, but I also know she understands the situation. She is losing, and she must find a way to soften the fall. Her thoughts represent many pro-choicers. Can’t beat em’ join em. . . subtly, and slyly. “I’m pro-life.”
. . . They know.
Let’s continue to pray for the unborn, and to love those who oppose us. God can change hearts.
